I thought I would spend some time letting you get to know me a little better. This beauty is my dear sweet Maggie Mae in my garden. She is one of my joys. I love to take her for walks on the beach and the woods she is great, great fun. I thought I might share ten things about me.

I’m a Gulf War Veteran! I am aging myself now, but it is just okay to be a woman of that age!
I love every type of music! I also do not have a favorite type of music. I have anything and everything on my player. From country music to Broadway show tunes, from T-Swift to Linkin Park, from Jay-Z to Michael Buble’. Seriously everything!! If you know any new artists leave a comment, I love checking out new music!
Walking, Walking, Walking : I got myself a fitbit and it inspired me. I love to spend time walking in the woods, walking on the beach, or just walking around my neighborhood, so watch out, and join Maggie, Rascal (my other dog) and I - we would love to walk with you!
I love Yoga. I love how I feel after I stretch and how much better I feel when I breathe...
Would take a nap every day if life would allow it. If I can shut my eyes for 20….maybe 30 minutes I wake up ready to accomplish whatever needs done. There have been studies done about this…It’s science. Or just sleepiness, not sure on this...
Barnes and Noble is my happy place or any book store for that matter, I love to read. If I am not actively reading, I am listening to a book on my Fire...
I procrastinate when I have housework to do... I would much rather be painting, walking, or out taking pictures than cleaning my house, so it is usually on the back burner. Luckily, Lyric is a dream and never complains!
Traveling is a passion. I love to explore new cultures and see new things. I think the Army did that to me, I just always want to go out and see what the world has to offer.
Even though I love Yoga and Walking I am lazy in my exercise routines and it is on my to do list everyday... Some days it just doesn't get a check mark.
Family, Family, Family... I have 3 wonderful children. My Son Ryan is in the Army and has my first grand baby girl Kinsley, My daughter Ashley lives in Colorado and is currently pregnant so more news on this to come, lucky me, and my son Patrick is about to join Ryan in Texas. They each lead exciting lives and I love to try to keep up with them. My husband Lyric is a dear. You couldn't ask for a more supportive and caring man to be your husband. He is so very talented and thoughtful, he is a good man. (And on occasion can be seen as my second shooter) My sister lives in Denver not far from my Mom and Kevin (my stepdad). My brother lives in Florida. Our dogs are treated like royalty Rascal is 17 years old this year, he is a border collie. He ran our ranch when we lived in Colorado. Now he just hangs with me on walks and naps with me when we can. Maggie is only 2 and she is a Great Pyrenees. She is shy and loving. - Well I think that is enough for today!!! Wedding rehearsal at Fern Acres Tomorrow That should keep me busy!

After years of shooting weddings, I can honestly say that there are few things that bring me more joy on a wedding day than brides and grooms with amazing relationships with their parents. I love seeing the tears, the hugs and the sweet interactions between the couples and their moms and dads. Juli and Justin’s parents have gotten to know one another over the course of their relationship that started in elementary school. It’s such a gift!! What a very touching moment!

Cory and Ashley JOYCE had an amazing wedding filled with love and laughter. I loved everything in this wedding... How can you not love a wedding that starts with Horseback riding groomsmen and the groom so filled with love that he came up on his horse to check on the guests... What a special day.
But I am so lucky to be able to be shooting a wedding at Fern Acres, (fernacresforks.com) in Forks, Washington this weekend. Another lucky couple finding their beginning. We will be meeting this couple this weekend here on the blog I can't wait.
