Each morning and evening I walk my dogs! They love to chase the jackrabbits. Luckily they are too slow to catch them, because the hare could do massive damage to my border collie, I think my Great Pyrenees would probably be just fine, but these amazing rabbits are strong and agile and run so fast. I do love to watch the chase! I was lucky enough to see this guy just resting and wanted to paint him as he was! He is on 8X10 140lb paper signed on the front and back.

Horse Portrait - Wild Ride
I just can't get enough of painting horses. I look for inspiration all of the time. I have my camera on me whether it is my phone or my Sony so I can capture images of horses (or other wildlife) I just have to paint them. They inspire me! I am just drawn to them. I love the idea of being on them, riding them... but seeing them in the field alone is enough for me. I guess I will always be a cowgirl at heart! We are starting a lavender farm in New Mexico and while we are working on the farm, I have been painting a lot of bees and lavender, but I have taken a break from them to paint a few sunflowers. I am always fascinated by Bison. They are sacred creatures. They can be docile one minute and the next can charge at you. They are not to be taken lightly.
