After a short winter hiatus Karon’s Frame Center, “Imagine it Framed” is back on track with the Second Weekend ArtWalk.
On Friday, April 10, Karon’s will feature art by Penny Winn. A reception is set for 6-8 p.m. with refreshments. This is a family friendly event and open to the public. Winn works in watercolor, encaustic and acrylic. Her work is categorized as fine art, portrait and abstract. Prior to art, Winn worked in education and was in the Army. “I’m drawn to the paint brush. For years my life revolved around my work and family, one day that all changed and now I paint,” Winn says. “I started as a way to be calm and to find an escape from the memories of going to war. It was my way of getting out the tragedy, ravages, and rage and changing my vision from destructive to beautiful.” See more at pennywinn.com.
